Weekly Poll Wrap-up

Last week’s weekly poll question was, “forced to join one of the following mythical organizations, which would you choose?”

Winning handily with 56% was “Former Jews for Jesus Who Are Now Instead Jews For Buddhism.” In second place with 29% was “People for the Ethical Treatment of Really Smelly People on Elevators.” Coming in last with 13% was “The Association of Pro-Choice, Anti-Gun Gay Conservative Republicans For McCain.”

Anybody with experience in research methods will note that too many variables were in each choice to be able to determine much of anything, which was done to make the interpretation possibilities more fun. However, perhaps we can narrow things down a bit:

Maybe being a Buddhist is a very attractive option, because of all the world’s religions, Buddhists tend to not kill stuff or start wars with any great regularity; or

Maybe the lions share of respondents would rather hang out in an elevator with a smelly person than support John McCain; or

Maybe most respondents would rather disassociate themselves from their previously-held beliefs in abortion, gun control, or gay rights, than support John McCain; or

Maybe damn near all the readers of this site are just Jewish anyway.

Personally, I choose to believe it means that most respondents would rather slide down a mile-long razor blade into a vat of rubbing alcohol than support John McCain. If so, I’m with you.

As always, this week’s poll is on top of the right hand side-bar. Vote on it there, and comment on it here.

If I have to be left there with one of those bozos I am picking Goodhair. I figure that stuff he puts up there might crack coconuts so at least he would be good for something.

You left out Jerry Patterson.

Anonymous (if that is inded your real name): You're right, I did. I thought about including him, but then thought the better of it. If he was on the desert island, he'd first put the island up for bids to the highest private bigger, who would promptly ruin the island forever. Then, he'd shoot you and eat you.

It's easy: Craddick!

If there were ever a get-down-and-party-at-the-beach-dude kind of guy, it's Tom Terrific. He exemplifies fun, fun, fun!

I'd use Rick Perry's hair as a blanket when it got cold, his veneers as spearheads for my spear fishing and his crooked morals for my fish hook.

come to think of it, this could be fun.

I picked Tom C because he would be the easiest to overpower and hogtie and gag.
